Can you tell me exactly how much this plumbing job will cost me?

In our years of experience we have found that our customers prefer an accurate price based on their exact problem at hand.  Most phone quotes are subject to change once the service technician sees the job. By allowing us to diagnose your problem in person, you will know exactly what it will cost to get the job done.

Do you have night or weekend hours?

Liberty Sewer and Drain Services offer night and weekend appointments to accommodate your busy schedule, at no overtime charge.

Do I need a new sewer due to tree roots?

Tree roots are one of the main reasons for sewer back-ups.  Roots are attracted to water vapor that escapes through cracks or loose joints in sewer pipes.  Once inside, roots will continue to grow and fill the pipe to create a root mass.  The root mass can become matted with grease, paper and other solid matter, which will eventually cause a clogged sewer.

In most cases you do not need a new sewer.  The commonly used tools, to remove tree roots, are augers and saws that pull the roots out of the pipe.  Once the tree roots are removed, preventive maintenance methods will be needed to prevent future back-ups.

How can I prevent my laundry tub from constantly clogging?

The simplest and most cost effective way to prevent a wash tub from clogging is to use a lint sock for the washer machine discharge hose.  The lint sock will collect any dirt or debris that is expelled from your washer and prevent it from clogging the laundry tub drain.  A lint sock can be purchased at any hardware store, at minimum cost to you.  An alternative to the lint sock; is to use an old stocking.  The stocking functions the same way as the lint sock.  Remember to clean and replace them periodically.
